The leitmotif of the past week

So now we’re in the double digits here at week 10 — still standing, folks! But barely. This week we’ve found that we were at the peak of our own exhaustion.

Luckily, Roman decided that it was about time that we took a serious 3-day break from Friday to Sunday — you know, to just shut off our brains for a bit and reboot. And reboot again.

We noticed that things were getting toxic from all the demands and we’re not being as productive as we would like. For one, most of our focus is now on the business development side of things which only means that we’re not at the top of our game with our demo day prep.

This week was mostly about bringing the mental scale back to a balance to increase our productivity and overall energy. But of course, we have some worthy business updates for you, too!

The business stuff

As you may already know, we have two running pilots and we’re now preparing everything and doing all we can to deliver it successfully. For one, we’ve tested our current tech solution for the specific pilot use case to find out what needs to be enhanced. And yep, this is all now clearly defined and estimated. For our second pilot, we started creating the datasets to demonstrate the batch protection approach and the overall scalability of our solution — which is fantastic, btw. So right now we’re pretty happy with both results. 👏

And for the big news — we managed to finalize our video production efforts and created our first demo video of our tech! However, the vid isn’t public yet (sorry), but we’re already using it in private conversations with our business partners and VCs. This frees up a lot more time for us instead of showing the demo over and over again and speeds up the conversation. A major thanks to all those who made this happen!

Our heavenly days off

The end of the week hit us pretty quickly, as usual. But this time we were really looking forward to our little mental reboot.

Friday came and went, but we spent it doing our own thing — mostly going into the city for more sight-seeing, shopping, or both. On Saturday though, we ended up taking a trip together to Rockaway Beach. And when I say trip, I mean we actually rented some bikes, rode along the coast and had an epic lunch and coffee in one of the local diners. :’)

On Sunday, our reboot mainly consisted of physical exercise to let off all that steam. So we took things to the gym, worked out, went for a run, and got back to some personal tasks and did more shopping (I guess we like to shop). But in the end, Roman and Jakub went back to the screens because there’s just that much stuff that needs to get done.

Oh, we also made it a thing that we’ll all sleep at least 8+ hours every night to properly recharge our batteries. That helps. A lot. So we’re definitely looking forward to seeing how our new and improved health priorities will affect us next week!

Veracity Protocol brings a new authenticity standard of fingerprinting physical objects to combat counterfeits. Thanks to computer vision and machine learning, we identify unique material characteristics and use them for future protection, verification and visual inspection. Unlike tags, chips or markers that need to be embedded and can be removed or tampered with, our solution works with items’ surfaces even when damaged and is still 100% tamper-proof.”
